The Texas Center for Performing Arts Health is excited to offer the world's first physician fellowship in Performing Arts Medicine. The fellowship is open to physicians who are completing/have completed a residency/fellowship in one of the following fields: Family Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Occupational Medicine, Sports Medicine, or Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.
Fellows will work alongside experts in the field and have the opportunity to take care of performing artists of all disciplines and skill levels. They will also have dedicated didactic time to learn more about the principles and practices of Performing Arts Medicine, and have the opportunity to collaborate on exciting and innovative performing arts research. Job Summary:
The Project Specialist works under the guidance of the Director of the Center for Performing Arts Medicine (CPAM). The Project Specialist will be a leader of the arts integration division of CPAM throughout the system of Houston Methodist Hospitals. With the goal of supporting a holistic environment of care for patients, visitors and employees, and supported by CPAM’s Guide to Programming for Environments of Care ( http://www.houstonmethodist.org/~/media/pdf/hr/MusiciansGuideFINAL.ashx?...), responsibilities include managing and promoting the Margaret Alkek Williams Crain Garden Performance Series (which involves communicating with Houston-area arts organizations, coordinating system-wide performances, managing CPAM’s arts in health hospital TV channel, and coordinating staff and volunteer pianist schedules), assisting with employee-focused and professional visual art programs, and liaising with hospital departments to align and leverage common goals through the arts (primarily, but not limited to Spiritual Care, Global, Community Benefits, HR, Platinum Patient Services, Volunteer Services and Food and Nutrition). Coordination and collabroration will also be required with CPAM’s Divisions of Music Therapy, Research and Assessment, Outreach and Education, and Artist Health.

Music Therapist - Center for Performing Arts Medicine, Houston Methodist Hospital
The Music Therapist will deliver services to adult patients being treated in the Houston Methodist Hospital System. The therapist will deliver services through both group and individual sessions, treating patients individually as well as co-treating with physical, occupational, speech therapists, social workers and other clinical team members.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited school program according to the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
2 years or more years of clinical experience implementing music therapy techniques is required
1 year or more of experience working with adults in a medical setting is preferred
Research experience preferred (with 1 or more years being optimal)
Interest in supervising interns in the future is preferred.

MS Assistantship in Dance Medicine Department of Kinesiology University of North Carolina at Greensboro
Applications are invited for a Dance Medicine graduate assistantship for a Board-Certified Athletic Trainer interested in pursuing a M.S. degree in Kinesiology. This funded position will be responsible for leadership and direction of a Dance Medicine program for academic Dance students.
Typical Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Performing orthopedic screenings of newly admitted Dance students
2. Direct communication and visitation with academic Dance faculty and Dance courses
3. Provide athletic training services at special academic Dance events
4. Holding weekly clinic hours to provide Athletic Training services to the academic Dance student
5. Other duties assigned by the Department of Dance
Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree and hold current BOC credential as an Athletic Trainer and be eligible for NC Athletic Training licensure. Candidates with full time clinical experience are preferred. The comprehensive M.S. plan of study will also provide experiences in teaching, research, and interactions with entry-level MSAT students.

Full-time Lecturer with the Potential for Security of Employment in Dance Science and Physical Therapy
The University of California, Irvine, Claire Trevor School of the Arts, Department of Dance invites applications for a Full-time Lecturer with the Potential for Security of Employment in Dance Science and Physical Therapy. The successful candidate will teach large lecture courses to majors and non-majors in areas such as scientific concepts of health, anatomy, kinesiology and nutrition; oversee the Dancer Wellness Suite and assist dancers in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Work in collaboration with faculty in Dance Science, somatics and related areas. Monitor dance student health and injuries. Advise students; direct undergraduate and graduate student thesis projects. Participate in departmental administration and decision-making. Serve on school and university committees. This series requires, in addition to excellent teaching and service, the candidate makes outstanding and recognized contributions to the development of his or her specific discipline and/or of pedagogy.
Certification in Physical Therapy in the State of California and, MS or Ph.D. in anatomical sciences, kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field are required. The successful candidate will have university teaching experience and professional experience in the field as a Physical Therapist. M.F.A./M.A. in Dance preferred.
